About Me

My photo
Ponca City, Oklahoma, United States
They always say you can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl. That's me,and now that I am back in the country I couldn't be happier! Thanks to God, we were able to move on to a 40 acre farm. Life on the farm is busy and we are always learning something new. My husband, Brett is the worlds best handyman. He was raised in town but I think that deep down he has always been a country boy. Together we are learning to raise cattle, chickens, and are even venturing into raising goats. We enjoy gardening and we are learning square foot gardening with the help of our mothers. We are striving towards self-sufficient living and hope to be there soon. Along with a passion for the outdoors and animals I also have a passion for photography. I have owned my photography business for about 13 years now. Nothing gives me more pleasure then to photograph a new baby or a couple getting married and beginning a new life together. I hope that you will join us as we learn new things and enjoy life on the farm.

I have had a blast with seniors this past few weeks. I can't believe it is almost time for graduation. Our Jessica is a senior this year and I am having a hard time with the letting go part. It's so exciting to see your child go on to the next chapter in their life but at the same time it is so hard to let go of them because this is it, no turning back and no redo's. All I have to say is enjoy your children why they are there with you. Cherish every minute, because time goes by so fast that before you know it they will be leaving home.
It's been a long time since I blogged last. As you can see we have added a few animals to our farm. This photo is of my brother Dan who came for a visit when we first got the calves. We have also added chickens and we are getting ready to add goats. Hard to believe that we have been there for almost 4 years now. I have been busy with photo shoots and farm life so I kind of let the blogging go for awhile, but I'm back now so I hope you join along as I share not only my photo life with you but my farm life. Join with me and my family as we experience life on the farm. I promise you will not get bored because there is always something going on here!

Fund raiser for CF

My children, Niki, T.J., and Anna Clark lost their 19 year old cousin Bob Clark to Cystic Fibrosis on June 18 after a life time struggle with the disease. Bobs' twin sister also died of CF not even three years ago. His family was left behind with an immense amount of medical and funeral costs. We are having a fund raiser for the family to help defray costs. R L Photography will be donating two photo packages valued at $200.00 which will include a $72.00 sitting fee plus 1 -11 X 14, 2 - 8 X 10, 4 - 5 X 7, 4 - 4 X 6, and 8 wallets. By buying a $2 raffle ticket you can enter a chance to win one these packages. So you not only have one, but two chances at winning one of these great prizes. If you are interested in obtaining a raffle ticket you can contact us by email at tammyross@rl-photography.com or call Tammy at 580-716-4572 or Niki at 580-716-4585.
